With Decree 226/2017 of 13 November, the autonomous community of the Canary Islands has established a framework for the implementation of active tourism activities. The most notable aspects of the decree are the obligation for companies to have civil liability insurance, accident insurance, a qualification in accordance with the activity carried out, a first aid qualification, a B1 level in Spanish for companies with foreign staff, as well as other aspects related to the transparency of the service.

Wandering Pier Gran Canaria complies with these requirements and is also a member of EcoActiva Canarias, an association that brings together companies in the sector and monitors compliance with the obligations set out in the decree.
